These are the most common weekly betting games that I play at our country club. They are easy to understand and do not require a lot of confusing math to try and figure out at the end of the round. These games also keep the betting down to a reasonable amount, where it’s still competitive and enjoyable, without it getting out of hand.
- 3-3-4 Nassau. $3 on the front nine, $3 on the back nine, and $4 for overall pts.
- “4 will get you 5”. 2 man teams, you and your partner versus your two opponents. On each hole you get 1 pt. each for beating each one of your opponents, no points for a tie on a hole., therefore if your score is better, with handicaps, then each one of the opponents, you will get a total of 2 points. The same holds true for your partner, if his score per hole with handicaps is better then each opponent, then he would also receive 2 points. If you and your partner win all 4 points on any given hole, then you receive a 5th bonus point, hence the “4 will get you 5”.The value of each point is to be determined on the first tee, generally, .50 cents per point.
- 6-6-6 rotation. Here you will rotate every 6 holes with a new partner within the foursome, that way you do not have the same partner for all 18 holes. Generally, you’ll play a $3 or $5 Nassau for each 6 holes.
There are literally hundreds of different golf games to be played on the golf course. I suggest that you either buy a golf betting games book or you go online and look up golf betting games.
